Zeroclass Drift Day

The Zeroclass Drift day  was an action packed day with plenty of sick cars, solid driving and a nice chilled vibe for everyone to hang out and slay tires in the hot Taupo sun.
The gates at Taupo Motorsport Park opened up at 8am and entrants made their way through to begin the day that everyone had been waiting for.

Kyle took his 180 out for the day, i think its safe to say it was the lowest car out on the track..

Braedan was out giving the CA 200SX a good workout when unfortunately disaster struck and the engine let go.

The day was reserved for for well presented cars, with full kit’s and big wheels as to keep viewing to a premium for spectators and any media shooting on the day. I guess these two beasty looking s-chassis didn’t get that memo, but I think we can all agree they look just as mean!

This is a drift day after all, so it wasn’t going to be long before a lot of aero was wrecked or removed to keep it safe anyway.

There were plenty of close battles out on track too, check out Marcus getting up close to D1NZ Pro-Am competitor Ben in the Team Jenkins S13.

Go hard or go home, i get the feeling that’s a motto most of these guys live by. S-Chassis drifting with zero f*cks.. is there a better way to spend a Saturday?

The amount of awesome built into Kyle’s 180 is huge.. we can’t get enough of it! Big aero, big wheels and lots of low, a recipe for success in anyone’s book.

As the afternoon drew to an end, it was clear everyone had had a wicked day, and what better way to end it than with an after party at Vertigo Taupo.

Thanks Chris for putting on another sick event! With a bit of luck, the next one is not too far away!
